Theatre Communications Group- 2003-2006 (present)
Responsible for designing all web-related art work for the Theatre Communications Group (TCG) website, including What's New features, Bookstore layout, and other miscellaneous art-based elements. In charge of incorporating TCG's monthly theatre publication, the nationally recognized magazine American Theatre, into web format.

The New York Theatre Review- 2005
Designed book cover for inaugural yearly publication of the New York Theatre Review, a journal of plays, reviews, and essays. Client wanted a gritty, grainy look with an urban-neon feel. Used original photography.

The LARK Play Development Center- 2004-2005
Designed all postcards for 2004-2005 playreading season. Created branding and logo for Barebones series. Created individual postcard designs based on client feedback and thematic evaluative script reading.

Nascentworks - 2004
Designed and coded entire site for new theatre company, using DHTML and CSS. Client wanted a clean, professional site that was easily navigable. Prepared layout, stylesheets, streaming video, and interactive slideshow for the site.

Designed and coded entire 13P site, an artist-driven production company for new American plays. Hard-coded and scripted in BBEdit, created all associated print material based on original design and color scheme.

Blazing Blends - 2004
Created original logo, designed and coded entire Blazing Blends site, updated and edited content for a more professional feel. Site is a small e-commerce business selling home-ground spice-rubs. Client wanted a profesisonal, colorful site with a homey feel. Hard-coded in BBEdit, created all associated labels and print material based on original design.

I wanted a simple, clean informational website for my own playwriting work. I wanted the design to reflect the simplicity and playfulness of my writing work, along with a slight ethereal quality. I designed and coded the enitre site.

Designed entire site, a personal music portfolio for a local composer. Client wanted a fun, edgy design with tongue-in-cheek humor. Designed using advanced Illustrator and Photoshop techniques.

Created original logo designs for Completely Direct, an online developer of direct response advertising campaigns (formerly Bonagenics). Used advanced Illustrator techniques.

Designed and created logo, iconography, layout, and all graphical elements for MNN's 2002 Voter Guide. Created graphics, layout, and overall design for MNN's Youth Channel printed presentation materials (brochures, postcards, labels, etc.).

Klik.com - 2001-02
Created logo, graphics, and original site design for Klik-n-Pay, an online payment service. Designed and created all internal images and text appearance. Created site specs using advanced Photoshop techniques. Designed several logo specs for Klik.com, Klin-n-Pay's parent organization.

Manhattan Theatre Source - 2000
Created original site design and layout for Manhattan Theater Source, a new not-for-profit arts service organization. Designed and created all internal graphics and text appearance. Coded HTML for initial home and internal pages.

2000 - 2001    New Media Designer, Hotjobs.com, New York NY

Designed looping flash banners for partner and affiliate sites. Created all iconography and artwork for web-based design elements including splash pages, product advertisements, city channels, internal newsletters, and application specs. Designed offline and printed elements such as company T-shirts, co-branded billboards, etc.

1999 - 2000    New Media Designer, VCOM.com Corporation, New York NY (defunct)

Functioned as the sole artistic director of VCOM.COM, a Manhattan-based online telecommunications provider. Designed, hard-coded, and implemented complete informational business to business site. Created logo, layout, Flash movies, and all graphical content.

Designed and was responsible for all banner ads, logo specs, postcards, calling cards, promotional materials, photographic content, web graphics, and print graphics for VCOM.COM. Brainstormed and initiated marketing ideas.

Created graphics for co-branded telecom sites, including Samachar.com, Gay.com, ephones.com, sina.com, siliconindia.com, etc. Created banners, calling cards, and promotional materials for all private-label telecom partnerships.

 

1998 - 1999    Web Designer / HTML Programmer, Firedance Interactive, Los Angeles CA (defunct)

Designed final banner ad for Infinnity Direct, a leading provider of Infomercials. Created three diverse specs based on original marketing concepts. Incorporated dynamic, highly compressed GIF animations into each banner.

Created original logo, graphics, site design and layout for several sites, including Samaya Inc., a corporate web-hosting organization, and the UCLA Center for Pre-Hospital Care, an academic and research-oriented web site for professionals in pre-hospital care and emergency medicine.

 

1997 - 1999    Web Designer / HTML Programmer, Websciences International, Los Angeles CA

Created all design, layout, and coding for ARK, an adaptive sleep-analysis software system for clinical and research markets. Incorporated low bandwith Javascript enhancements and complex tables and frames into a streamlined corporate layout.

Created complex designs for numerous sleep-conferences, symposiums, and informational sites. Updated text and graphics on existing satellite sites from sleephomepages.org.

Designed all the graphical elements for the Worldwide Project on Sleep and Health (WWPSH) including logos, stationery, and various promotional print materials. Implemented complex Photoshop techniques including masking, channels, and photograph manipulation.

 

1995 - 1997    Web Designer / HTML Programmer, Jules Stein Eye Institute, Los Angeles CA

Designed all original graphical elements and layout for a high-volume, comprehensive web site dedicated to providing information and resources for patients of the institute and members of the School of Ophthalmology at UCLA. Hard-coded pages and updated text and graphics on the site.
